Customer feedback has always been important for businesses that want to provide the best possible products and services. In the past, the reputation of a business relied mostly on word of mouth and reviews through customer surveys. Now with many outlets online for people to write reviews of products and services including Google and Yelp, it is easier to get reviews from more customers and for users to access these reviews to help make decisions.

You might be ranking #1 on Google Maps… but only from your parking lot.

Local search rankings can change depending on where someone searches. A business may show up near the top in one town and much farther down in another.

That’s why local SEO goes beyond optimizing your Google Business Profile. Your website, city service pages, and local links all play a role in helping people find your business in the communities you serve.

Want to get found in more local markets? Let’s talk.

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴.

That's not a budget problem. It's a leak.

Here are 3 checks you can do in 10 minutes:

1️⃣ 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁. Look at what people actually typed before clicking. If you see "free," "jobs," "DIY" or towns you don't serve, you're paying for the wrong clicks.

2️⃣ 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲. Does the page match what the ad promised? Can you call in one tap? If you'd leave, so will your customers.

3️⃣ 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿. Then check if Google Ads recorded it as a conversion. If not, Google is optimizing blind, and you're guessing.

Most accounts we review have at least one of these leaks. Fixing it often means more leads from the same budget.

𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗱𝗼. Want us to find the leaks for you? Our 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 shows:

→ Where your budget is being wasted
→ Why visitors aren't converting
→ What to fix first

For home care agencies, serving multiple cities means more than listing those locations on your website.

When a family searches for home care in their community, they want to find an agency that understands their area and can provide the support they need.

That's why location-specific service pages can make a difference.
A well-built page for each city you serve gives search engines more context about where your agency operates and helps families find information that's relevant to them.

But here's the catch: simply swapping out a city name on duplicate pages isn't an effective strategy. Each location page should offer something useful, whether that's the services available, local resources, caregiver availability, or answers to questions families in that area may have.

The takeaway: If your home care agency serves multiple communities, make sure your website gives each one a meaningful place to learn about your services.

Does your website answer the questions customers ask ChatGPT? 🤔

Today’s customers aren’t just searching Google. They’re using AI tools to research services, compare providers, understand pricing, and decide which businesses to trust.

If your website doesn’t clearly answer those questions, you could be missing an opportunity to get discovered.

Here are four ways to make your website more helpful for AI-powered search:

🔹 Answer common customer questions directly.
🔹 Explain your services, pricing factors, and process.
🔹 Showcase real experience, reviews, and case studies.
🔹 Make your content clear, helpful, and easy to navigate.

The goal isn’t just to get more traffic. It’s to make sure your website provides the information potential customers need to choose your business.

Try this: Ask ChatGPT the questions someone would ask before hiring a business like yours. Then check whether your website answers them.

What questions should your website be answering?

Google just finished a 14-day spam update (Sept 24 – Oct 8).

If your traffic dropped in the last two weeks, don’t panic, and don’t guess.

Here’s how to check in 10 minutes:

1️⃣ Compare Search Console data before and after Sept 24
2️⃣ Filter by folder. Did one section drop, like location pages or the blog?
3️⃣ Check the Manual actions and Security issues reports

The biggest risk we see for local businesses: dozens of near-identical “city” pages with only the town name swapped.

The fix isn’t fewer pages. It’s better pages, with real local projects, reviews and answers.

Not sure if your site was affected? Comment CHECK and we’ll take a look.

885 phone calls. From Google Ads. For a nonprofit.

North West Housing Partnership helps seniors and families find housing programs. Their challenge wasn't getting clicks. It was reaching the right people and turning that into real conversations, without wasting a nonprofit budget.

Here's what we did:

→ Google Search campaigns for people actively looking for housing help
→ Performance Max to expand reach across their service area
→ Tight geographic targeting so ad spend stayed local
→ Dedicated landing pages built to convert
→ Conversion tracking so every call and form was measured

The result:
1️⃣ 885 phone calls
2️⃣ 407 conversions
3️⃣ 55,863 impressions

The lesson: don't measure ads by clicks. Measure them by the conversations they create.

"Patrick and his team at Proceed Innovative played a key role to assist North West Housing Partnership expand our outreach and connect with more seniors." — Michelle S. Hill, MBA, ECHM
